Crowded streets. Humid weather. Bright red taxis. I didn’t know it would last so long. God was doing a work in my heart.
My language team and I arrived in HK August 1st. My tourist visa was up, and I had to get processed paperwork for a student visa. Little did I know that the process was going to be put on hold. The person responsible for processing our paperwork went on vacation as soon as I arrived in HK; so I had to wait longer for the paperwork. The sad thing is that I didn’t know exactly when I would get my paperwork. I had to make a decision. Was I going to stay in HK and wait? Or was I going to fly back to the X in Asia, an then go back to HK once the paperwork was ready?
I decided to stay and make the most of the trip, not knowing exactly when I was going back to the X.
I’ve been able to take the time to relax, process my emotions and thoughts, and prepare myself for this coming season of language learning. I have been waiting for about 4 weeks now, and I am finally getting my paperwork this week! I am hoping to go back to the X by the end of this week, or next at the latest.
God has been teaching me lessons and revealing things to me while I’ve been on this trip. I believe that the process of waiting and being in limbo wasn’t in vain.
Thank you so much for your support and prayers. Without your support I wouldn’t be able to get a student visa for my schooling. Without your prayers who knows what could or couldn’t happen. Let me know whats been going on in your life and anything that you need pray for.
