C listened wide-eyed and intently to all I was sharing with him about Jesus, God’s plan, grace, etc. Several times he rubbed his face and hair agitatedly, several times he smiled in amazement at what he heard. I could visually see the battle going on for his life. At the end of the night, he said he believes, but did not want to make a decision just to please me (as he said many Asians would). I loved this, and decided to let the only One who can prove Himself do just that. We prayed together and asked God to solidify everything in his life and, as he is longing for, give him a new start. Please ask with us for the victory for our bro and for God’s glory!
Personally, there is also A LOT of newness in my life at this time. I am in a new city (since about a month ago); a new apartment (since two days ago); with a new team who just got in on Thursday night and are doing awesome; and working on a new University with a new call to be here until that task is done. That may take one year, that may take 5 years or even more, but we all have a strong sense that things are going to go rather quickly. May it be so!
There’s one more new thing that I have been wanting to share with you all for a while now . . .
The Lord has brought a wonderful woman into my life! Her name is Katelyn and she also has a long-term call to Asia. She is amazing and I feel so blessed and thankful to know her. We are excited to move forward in our relationship as God leads . . .
