I know it’s been, yet again, a while since hearing from me. We have been so busy! We arrived back from T-land and a few days later were off to another province of this country to visit one of our dear friends in her hometown. This was such a wonderful experience! Her family was so warm and welcoming to us. This caused me to love it here all the more. I loved being able to experience where our friends come from and more of the culture. It was so hard to say goodbye.
When we got back we immediately started Winter Session (like a retreat). This consisted of recruiting others to come and spend a year here, learning about boundaries and emotions, and also strategizing for the future. It was a great time to refresh and to refocus.
Since we’ve returned we’ve been getting back into the swing of things. It’s been tough trying to get back into a regular schedule. So much is different now, and we are leaving so soon. As of right now we leave here in 38 days! I can’t believe our time here is almost over! We are not ready to say goodbye. We’re trying to brace ourselves for the hard goodbyes that are coming sooner than we would like.
As I have been thinking about what is next, I feel that God has been putting it on my heart to return here. I will be committing to three years here. I will do an internship in NY for about 10 months and return the following April. I will do about one and half years of language study. After that I will be put into a position that will be a good fit for me. I want to thank each of you for the support you have already given me financially and for lifting me up. I feel so honored and blessed to have been supported by each of you. Your support has allowed me to walk out the call God has put on my life!
