Our Beliefs
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
We believe that Jesus is both fully God and man, and He is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and power in all creation.
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, equal with God and Jesus. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. The Holy Spirit is alive and active today, and He empowers believers for personal obedience and public ministry. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to all believers, and should be desired and practiced in accordance with Scripture.
We believe that people were created in God’s own image and once enjoyed a perfect relationship with Him. We chose sin and rebellion against God, which has separated us from Him, and we are unable to repair that relationship on our own.
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness we must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and repent of our sins. This decision starts a lifetime journey of sacrificially obeying the commands of the Bible, and allowing the Holy Spirit to make us more and more like Jesus.
We believe that water baptism is an important public step of obedience for all believers.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our lives today.
We believe in the power and significance of the Church: the global Church, for whom Christ will return; and the local church, where believers gather regularly for fellowship, worship, prayer, encouragement, correction, and discipleship.
