Hello friends!!!!! So, it’s been about a week since I’ve been here in Asia, and boy, what a ride has it been (literally)! God has been doing some incredible things, and we’ve only just begun. My roommate and I have taken our motorbike (yes, we have an awesome motorbike) over to campus a few times now, and we’ve made about 8 Asian friends in this week alone! One of the days we were on campus, walking around, tired, looking for friends, and there was not a soul in sight. So, Merah (my roommate) and I decided to take a prayer break to refresh our minds and hearts. As soon as we were done, we started walking away when we saw a group of college students walking in the opposite direction. I quickly sized them up as the type of friends who are the cool kids, the too-cool-for-school type. Thinking they wouldn’t even be interested in having a conversation, I quickly asked one of them if they spoke English. To my surprise, they stop, so excited and so shy, and one boy comes forward. As we talk, another comes forward, and then another, and then another, and well, turns out they all spoke English! Before you can say “2 kewl for skewl,” we were all enjoying some bubble tea together discussing our interests and getting to know each other. So, just when I thought they wouldn’t give us the time of day, turns out, these new Asian friends were so excited to get to know us and be our friends. I can’t wait to see what God will do through our friendship! Would you be lifting up our time with our new friends, that God would use our friendship to build His Kingdom, that they would come into the family?
