The last 6 weeks have flown by. It seems like I just got back from Johnson University in Florida where I got to engage the students during missions week. Tomorrow I will be packing for Word of Life in the Adirondacks. The following week we will be at a missions week at Houghton College, and then we have our bi-annual BASICcon event in Rochester.
We are doing all we can to engage young adults with an opportunity to serve overseas with us and it is going great! Recruiting has been an incredible role to serve in since returning to America. Please join us in praying that God would send out workers.
“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matthew 9:37-38)
Whenever possible, I try to connect with the team I left behind in Asia. It is always a highlight of my day when I get to Skype with them. They have had some trials but in their perseverance they have seen God do incredible things. Here is an excerpt from one of the workers in their own words:
“I am not going to lie; this has been the most challenging month of my life. But amidst all of the challenges and frustrations, I have seen the King of Kings become more and more famous. I have seen college students fall in love with the one who first loved them. And I have seen my heart turn and fall more in love with our God.”
They have seen about 25 students join the family in the last 6 weeks! God is so good!
