As you know, Clark and I are committed to reaching the Asian college students for Christ. We can’t think of a better thing to do with our lives! I have been with CT since 2009 and Clark joined me in Asia in 2013 – and recently, the Lord spoke to us about a huge change and what that looks like.
We prayed and we fasted during the month of January, specifically about our future. Let me tell you, when you pray and fast with your spouse, God speaks! Shortly after starting our fast, and through talking to our spiritual leaders, mentors, and closest friends, we felt the Lord confirm to us that we are to invest in our Stateside roles into this next season. This means we’re investing fully into recruiting young adults and inviting them to go on the adventure of their lives in Asia, as well as pouring into our long-term workers and providing counsel and care for them.
We know that the Lord is multiplying us and sending more workers to the field, the harvest is plentiful!
Last Saturday, we were moving our stuff into our new apartment in Lima; we praise God for His provision of a new apartment that will feel much more like home for the 3 of us — by Tuesday, we were pulling into our friend’s driveway for a 10 day stay in sunny North Carolina!
Through a crazy answered prayer, a friend invited us down to stay with his family so that we could share at a church this upcoming Sunday. We’ve been praying for open doors to share about our ministry, and are so excited to share with the church this Sunday! Please pray for us as we visit the church, that we would be a huge blessing to them, and that their hearts would be open to invest into our ministry!
Another answered prayer happened just yesterday. Clark has been having regular phone calls with a senior at SUNY Morrisville since January and after much planning and praying, he has applied to CT and is coming to our training where he will be equipped to raise all of the funds needed for a semester in Asia! He is just one of the many confirmations that Clark was meant to join the recruiting team here in the States.
The young man was at the first recruiting event Clark went to and was the first person he really got to pour into while inviting him to give a semester to the mission field. He currently leads Bible studies on his campus and is active in a college ministry group. I’m confident Campus Target is going to be better with him on our team!
