As I stepped off the bus, the view took my breath away. The new campus is 40 minutes from the middle of town, and the sky is so much bigger there! I had spent the bus ride worrying if my language would be good enough to share the Good News, and then I arrived. My friend Chloe met me at the bus stop a few minutes later and we biked around the beautiful grounds together. She had said none of her classmates were available for me to meet, but as we got off our bikes, her friend Chen came along with us.
“You wanted to share something important with me today,” Chloe said. “I think we should find someplace quiet to eat.” That’s the first moment I realized God had this whole evening planned out. As I shared with Chen and Chloe over noodles, my language was sub-par, but the Spirit grabbed a hold of Chen’s heart and she decided to join the family!
Since then, Chen has been actively seeking God even while I’ve been recovering from a throat infection for more than a week. I’m really excited to meet with her again on Saturday, to start training her in who God is and who she is in Him, and to start casting vision for her to share His story with her friends!
Please be praying for us, as the short-term (sharing-focused) half of our team just flew back home today. We are a smaller group now, and so we don’t know how that will be. Please pray for continued fruit on the campuses, for multiplication among our believing friends, and for fast language acquisition for Eragon as well as for me (Saphira) as I transition into doing more ministry. And that I’d fully recover from my infection soon!
