12 young adults made their way up to Lima this last week for four crazy days of training. We had four goals: for us to get to know these world changers, for them to know us, to train them in support raising and most importantly, to encounter God together.
And what an incredible weekend we had. One of my favorite times was when a CT alumni hosted us for the evening; we had dinner, told stories and laughed a ton with too many face swap pictures. 🙂
We are always wanting our trainees to know more about Asia and love it even more after the weekend. So we had an Asian believer that had been going to one of our churches share about what it is like to be a believer in Asia. What I thought was going to be about a 25 minute interview I had to cut off at 50 mins after a ton of good questions and conversations. There wasn’t a “What’s the grossest thing you have eaten?” question in the bunch.
Maps of the cities we work in were spread on around the house with prayer requests and we took time interceding and asking God to move in those campuses and cities. I always love when we do this because people who have never set foot in Asia walk away with a burden to share more than ever.
It was an amazing weekend. Thank you for all your prayers. On a side note, my mom came up and watched the kids for most of the weekend so the two of us could be involved together. It was so great working next to and with each other.
