It’s everybody’s favorite time of year again. I hope you’re enjoying the Christmas season wherever you’re at. We’re trying our best to spread the Christmas cheer here in the X. People in Asia do celebrate Christmas, but it’s not quite the cultural phenomenon here the way it is back home.
We’re still grinding out here every day, pouring into our friends and spending time investing in their lives. We’ve got a solid bunch of dudes that we really love hanging out with. We’ve shared the good news with them but now we’re just sharing our lives with them. There haven’t been any new friends join the family recently. I’m learning a lot about what it looks like to be waiting and watering the seeds that have been planted. From one perspective, it’s discouraging because we want to see our friends know Him right now. But from another perspective, we know that we’re in His timing and it’s not our place to change hearts. I can share the Gospel with my friend, but what happens after that has to be a supernatural working in his heart. These days, we’re just asking Go to be opening our friends’ hearts to the truth that we’ve shared with them. Please be praying for our dudes, Jack, Negan, Lin, Ben Allen, Tianyang, Ether, Ricardo and Owen. There’s a lot more but those are some of our really good friends.
Please also be praying for some of my teammates who are struggling with feeling burned out, especially during the holiday season. It’s hard to not be home for the holidays this year. So as we continue to go to campus every day, pray that we stay encouraged in Him. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of His Holy Spirit.”
Thanks for your continued support and prayers for me and my friends. I hope you have a very merry Christmas!
